I am back!

Hey guys, I am back. Sorry, but last week was insane.

I had a board meeting for a horse show that I volunteer for. It was bad news all the way around. We are down in volunteers and donations. This show supports the local Special Olympics so it is heart breaking. I guess it means I just need to work harder. If you would like to make a donation please email me.

Then my great-aunt passed away suddenly. I had to work and her funeral was out of town so I didn't get to attend. I just sent up prayers for her family.

Then a police officer we know was shot twice. He is okay, but can you say stressful week?!

The weekend was a little better. Hubs went on a church retreat and while he was gone, I played.

Saturday I taught a riding lesson or two. Then I groomed one of older western horses. He got clipped (when we shave their whiskers) and bathed and then we went for a walk through the grass so he could graze and dry in the sun.

Around 2 pm board members for the horse club began showing up and it was show time. I threw on a western saddle (I typically ride English) and we did a quick demo on a new equestrian sport known as Western Dressage. It felt good to go back to my western riding roots. Toby was excellent and loved showing off. It was tons of fun and I really hope this sport takes off.

After that I rushed off to mom's and we went to a "It works" party.  The party was a blast, we wrapped our bodies grabbed some  water and chatted and looked at the different products while we waited. Then we got our results. I lost 1/2 an inch and can't wait to see how much more I lose in the next 72 hours. Mom lost an inch! She is blessed with a hot bod anyways.

Sunday, I had went to mom's to visit the horses and hangout on the sun porch with the fam. It was cold so we stayed huddled under quilts but it was cozy. Mom and dad adopted a beagle/bassett mix that was severely abused and for the first time in 3 months he let me touch him without being afraid of me. He even let me hold him. That was a huge breakthrough for the little guy.

It was a perfect weekend of horses, puppies and family.

Dear week,
You have been awful. Sorry, but why you gotta by such a bish? I am just glad your party-lovin' cousin the weekend is here. Honestly, I am not partying at all. I am unpacking the house. Joy of all joys.

Dear Jelly Belly,
I am addicted to your Extreme Sport Beans. Energy drink in Jelly Bean form? Ah- Mazing. I can clean the whole house in like an hour on these things. I am a little ridiculous on these things. The office is threatening an intervention.

Hello, my name is Mallory and I have a problem.

Dear hubs,
I love you. Even after this week. Sometimes you are a negative Nancy though and I want to punch you.

Dear dogs,
I love that you love your new place! Riley, you seem to enjoy this off leash freedom. Lacey, you are loving the fact that you are in "your" space. You were a puppy last time we lived here.

Dear house,
Be prepared for house bootcamp. I am whipping you into shape this weekend. Prepare to be organized. Just don't whip back because my old lady hip is killing me.

Fun fact: I have an old lady hip because Casper decided to buck me to the moon. The landings get harder as you get older. Imagine that. When I get 90 I am screwed.
Dear Momma and Daddy,
I am jealous of your new house. It should be on Cribs or in a magazine or a movie.

Gorgeous.
I will be invading your house frequently.

Friday finally showed up!

Photobucket

Well, we made it through Friday! That means it is time for some Friday letters.

Dear Riley, Why are you a wild man tonight? It's cute, but when you annoy Lacey and she attacks your face I am not going to discipline her.

Dear Mortgage guy, Got the paperwork you needed me to sign today! You had the wrong address on all the stuff. I don't think the people in Midville would be happy if I signed the papers on their house. I don't even know where Midville is.

Dear followers, Thank you. Your comments and emails made my day. You have no idea. I hope I can continue entertaining you.

Dear Mama and Daddy, Thank you. I cannot even begin to repay you for all you have done for me over the years. I love ya'll.

Dear summer thunderstorm, I am loving you right now! I have a feeling I will be sleeping well tonight. This will probably make waking up and going to the office on my day off, just to hang with hubby even harder.

Dear Eyes, Can we stop with the off again/on again pinkeye-type crap. Seriously, I miss my contacts and I look like I am hungover and haven't slept in 4 day.
