Stuff My husband says
Sometimes my husband says the most ridiculous things. Most of the time it's just a line or two thrown in conversation that makes me pause and shake my head. I have decided to share his little bits of wisdom with you. Enjoy.
Watching the CMA's-
Chris- "Keith Urban is wearing skinny jeans."
Me- "Yep. It's called fashion. It drives the ladies crazy."
Chris- "Well, he doesn't sound like himself and I blame it on the fact that his jeans are too tight."
He sounds like he is 80 sometimes.
Talking to Lacey (the min pin)-
She is scratching around on her bed trying to get comfy.
He says, "Lacey, just lay down already. You are being ridiculous. Do you realize that?"
Says the one talking to the dog.
Laying in bed- Me-
"I want to adopt a horse and maybe a rabbit and did you see the picture of the dog I sent you from the humane society?"
Chris starts singing "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" by Tammy Wynette.
Sunday AM-
I roll out of bed later than I had planned.
Chris- "We won't make it to breakfast now."
Me- " We will go to lunch."
Chris- " But breakfast is my favorite. The song says 'stand by your man' not stand by your man unless you are tired."
How is that even relevant?
He can be a bit dramatic but I love him. Does your significant other ever make you shake your head?

Why can't we just stay lazy?
So Chris finally got that new job. Yay! The hours are better, the pay is great and full benefits. He is pretty happy. Actually he is a totally different person.
If you think about it we spend like 30% (or more at his old job) of our time at work. If you hate your job that is a REALLY long time. As hard as he tried, he brought that negativity home. We fought at work over work stuff and then we fought at home because of his attitude. I tried to remind myself that he couldn't help his feelings but I got severely offended when he complained. He worked for my family and for some reason I took his hate for the job as a personal attack.
Skip ahead 3 weeks and wow. He is like living with a different person. He is happy and carefree and he laughs y'all. Like actual belly laughs. Our marriage is benefiting 10x over.
Know what else is benefiting?
His health. ( where did you think that was going?)
He has lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks. He is snoring less and his face is already looking thinner. Here is the problem... I am perfectly happy being lazy. Now that he is getting all buff and crap I am going to have to get more active. I mean, I know I need to do this anyways but he has a head start and he gets paid for his physical activity.
So I need quick workout ideas. Like 30 min every AM to get started. And how do y'all stay motivated? And which diet plans work the best?
HELP!

The Roomate
Yesterday, I felt my love for animals waver for a minute.
That sounds awful, but let me explain.
I live in the south. Georgia to be exact and near a creek. That equals snakes. Lots and lots of snakes. My property tends to collect copperheads which are aggressive and poisonous. Yay. One year I stepped on 2 of these jerks. It took years off of my life.
Jump ahead to this year...
We have a black snake that has decided to live IN the barn. IN my tack room where I keep my horses food, grooming supplies and stuff I need daily. The only reason I am letting him stay is because I have always heard that black snakes keep the poisonous ones away and so far no copperheads have been seen.
Side note: There is also a rabbit living in the tack room and the snake doesn't bother it.
In the beginning the snake kept his distance. I would walk into the barn he would slither out until I was done. The room mate agreement was working and we were all happy. Then he started leaving creepy little gifts in my grooming box and on my shelves in the form of his shed skin. Ew. Freaked me out. Chris removed the gifts. And I declared the snake needed to go.
Yesterday I headed into the barn to clean Casper's stall. I was on the phone with my best friend talking about her newest boy issues. I hung up with her and opened the door to the stall and something darted to the right. I darted to the left screaming. I looked over my shoulder to make sure it wasn't chasing me and realized it was the harmless cute bunny and not the snake. I started laughing uncontrollably at myself, freaking out over little bunny foo foo. I cleaned the stall as fast as I could and got out of the barn. I am talking record time. If it didn't cause heart attacks I would say small scary animals would be great motivators for getting barns cleaned quickly. *Shudder*
As it goes, Chris cleaned the stall today. I didn't tell him I was still a little leary of the beasts we have done there but I conveniently found another chore that I knew he would rather not take on. Tomorrow I go in with a full suit of armor. Snake boots ... jeans ... a helmet. It could get serious.

Goals for July
It kind of hit me this morning... this year is almost over. I just passed through June and really haven't accomplished much. I mean my marriage is the best it's ever been and I am working on the diet, but I want more! So, I am setting goals for July. I can do this. Here goes:
#1 Work it.
This month I have decided to really work my business as hard as I can. I have set major goals. I want to add 4 loyal customers and 3 distributors to my team and I want to help someone grab the $10,000 bonus. If you are interested in joining my team or want our amazing products click my It Works! link over on the side bar! Any questions... email me!
#2 Ride more
I haven't been to the barn in 3 weeks. In all fairness my trainer has been on vacation 2 of those weeks, but one week I was slacking. My butt needs saddle time!
#3 Finish a book
I started Oogy months ago and have yet to finish it. I will finish it this month! Hold me too it and demand a review at the end of the month please.
#4 Finish another Bible study
I want to choose another one (maybe a quick one) and finish it with the hubs. Any suggestions or favorite books?
#5 Get back on budget!
We have been awful. Awful. Time to get back on track! (This may take longer than 30 days)
Y'all hold me to it! I will post here and there on how it's going. I am off to read some Oogy.
